I have gotten a price on steel billet rods legal for NHRA stock and super stock. The cost will be 300.00 each at the 8 rod set price. If we can get a comitment for 40 or more the price comes down to 150.00 each. Is there any one interested in getting good rods? Dan
$150.00 for billet rods? Wow, that sounds cheap! Anyone bulding a 350" should be interested. That's around the same as rebuilding stock rods!!
150.00 per rod is correct. That is if I can get an order for 40 rods or 5 sets of 8 rods. If anyone can come up with a less expensiive price let me know. So far this is the I havent found any other place to get them made. Dan
So far I know of NO aftermarket connecting rod approved for NHRA stock eliminator. If these do get, or are, approved, we would probably be interested in a set or so. Lemme know, Dan? as in a 1974 Apollo?? How about Larry?? he should purchase some..
Isaac You gested it I have the other KSA Apollo. Good job . I just read the artical in the Dragster. 11.73 in the final. You are also right about there is no aproved rods yet for the 350 Buick. The rod maker says that there is no problem getting them approved. He has done it with other rods. We are getting my motor ready for INDY and one of the ARP bolts in rod 4 pulled the threads out of the rod. This is scary. I have to put another rod in it. I will talk to Larry this week at Joliet. Dan
Thats 3 sets all we will need is 2 gore sets and we will have 40 rods. I want to make sure that they can make the rod to clear a 700 lift roller cam because super stock might be real fun. Dan
