i had this idea swiming around in my head, making a deep pan for the 350 buick, extend your pickup tube and deepin the pan and add some inner conduit and maybe a crank scraper (the scraper could be tuff tho) what do you guys think????

I think I'm in love with the girl on your avatar!
Oh ya, and the oil pan sounds great also. The pan and pickup should be relatively easy for a good machinist. The crank scraper would be more . . . . . Giiirrrrrllllll.
Seriously, how do expect anyone to give you a thoughful answer with her starring back at them?

It would be a good idea. Even just moding a stock pan. Just make it wider on each side to add more oil. Not sure if deeper is needed.

I actualy have thought about it myself but am to lazy to pull it and can't think of a good way to mod the pan in place;)

Just cut the sides out. Weld in some small hole screen. enclose if off hopfuly adding 3+ quarts n weld.

Though I think once we get aluminum head the 350 market wil explode and you will see more 350s built over the 455 on the street.

All we needs are some good heads to start. We got everything else.

I was thinking that if you wanted a deeper pan, just cut one half way down then weld it on to yours--after you cut the bottom out. It would be cheaper.

BTW, is your brother/sister seeing anyone? :Brow:

Only about 1 extra quart. I still run 5 quarts total, in attempt to keep oil off of the crank.

geee i didn't even know anyone posted to this thread, cause i have this set up to prompt my e-mail, and i wasn't getting anything, maybe because i posted near the time the board was having problems:Do No: , as for the hot gurl in my avatar, gumby i don't understand ya brother????:puzzled: I'm not even related to that person, although i wouldn't mind meeting her:Brow: , take a ride in that green convert:eek2:

as for the oil pan, i think it can be done with some metal, now you could take two oil pans and make deeper but that would be prone to scrapage, so extending the sides would be better, also you don't want oil splashing up so you would have to add some conduit to hold the oil down, then extend the pickup tube with some pipe (weld it) dip stick would be challenging to find the right size or just make one.............now the crank scraper would be the only thing im woried about......................hoping your oil pump wouldn't have a problem with the change:Do No:
