hi everyone!! I'm new here and looking for good info! :grin: Anyhow....my Wagoneer has a stock 350 so i figured this was the place to ask q's. I've already installed a TA Perf. 4bbl intake with a Rochester 600cfm carb and dual coil Jacobs Elec ignition. next, I want to replace the distributor because I have been told points will hurt my performance. I know that an HEI will swap in...but I do not need the high output coil(see above about Jacobs). Are there alternatives out there (other than Pertronix)??? Also, any info on what cam people are running and their opinions. thanks guys!!!
Crane and MSD both sell mag conversions and there's a guy named Dave I believe on the forum that converts your distrib to a mag setup as well. I'd also think about a bigger carb, 750 or 800 I think would be better. But carbs and cfm's are something that everyone has a different take on.
i plan on slapping a different carb on once i put a cam in. it was the simplest swap when i put the manifold on 2 years ago. thanks for the quick response.
