I am at the stage in my 1974 Buick Apollo restoration where I need to start thinking about exhaust. My preference would be to go to a dual exhaust off of the factory manifolds (Buick 350 V8 )

Has anybody done this? How did you mount the mufflers? What size pipes? What type of mufflers, pipes etc.? Cost? Where did you get them?

I am thinking of Flowmaster, but have no clue what size / series would work best on my engine. (I have a 1971 Skylark engine in the Apollo)

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Thanks.

    Jack:

I am currently building a 350 for my 1973 Apollo. I am having stock manifolds ported to require a 2.25" system. There is no off-the-shelf headers for this car.

My assumption is that a number of NOVA pipes can be used. However, I think it safe to say joining the off-the-shelf stuff to the Buick manifolds will require customization.

Any good muffler shop should have little trouble doing this. Just make sure they have the correct diameter material in stock.

This system, will no doubt, cost some bling bling.

    Can't take it with you.
