i noticed my skylark has a squeel.. it iss kind off off and on.. it goes as u rev the engine a little.. and it is off and on at idle.. would this be water pump or power steering?

Replace and/or check all your belts to make sure they're tight enough.

Sometimes if coolant leaks on the belts (like from the thermostat housing) it will cause the belts to slip and squeel.

Try tightening the belts before you start replacing things.

    squeal

could also be a bad bearing in the alternator .
