Is a 4 door bench seat the same as a 2 door bench seat on a '70-'72 skylark? A local auto salvage yard has a like new '72 4 door front bench for $20 but they won't guarantee that it will fit a 2 door. My original bench seat is very worn and tired and will cost big bucks to re-pad.
It will fit however you have to take it apart a little and take the 2 bolts out that keep it from folding forward. That means you will need to take some of the hog rings off to get to them. Also take the latch and stops from your seat to bolt in place and it will work just as it should. I have done this several times so email me if you get stuck. mike@mrbuick.com
