I have the olds boot on my car. After 5 or 6 years it's split all the way around. I never treated it with anything so maybe it's my fault but still a bit disappointing
When you get it situated, mark for the holes and make them substantially larger for movement. Get ALL the screws started before pulling it down a smidge at a time to prevent wrinkling. ws
