400 trans long /short

hi can some one tell me what trans came in a 70 eltra the eng is the455 the car is not close enough to go look thanks pete//// would that eng have a rear sump??? thanks again pete

The engine would be a rear sump.
As for the tranny I don't know o No:

The Electra will have a long shaft TH400. There are a lot of parts you can use or sell from it. I just got done stripping a 70 Wildcat about 5 weeks ago.

Here are some items you can sell/use from it:

If it has disc brakes, get em, they are in demand. SharpSabre455 needs a set-up.

Fan shroud will work in Skylarks.

P.trunk will be good to have and sell for decent money.

Original floor mats

Front bumper tri-shield emblem

Tilt wheel

Cruise control set-up

Posi rear and gears

Misc int trim pieces such as deluxe seat belts, instrument cluster, dash pad

Discs will not work on your 65. You need a disc set-up from a 69-72 A-body or 69-72 Grand Prix or 70-2 Monte Carlo.
