    Hi Guys,
I just received my Sept/Oct 2003 GSExtra from the GSCA, and I'm guessing that some of you may not be members. Awhile ago they undertook a Nailhead headers run, and apparently they have 5 extra sets available. They are Cermachrome coated and priced at 399.00 + UPS. If anyone is interested, you can call (229)244-0577, M-F, mornings.

What HP gain is made with these over C/I manifolds (stock engine)?

How is fit and ease of install for 66 GS w/ 4sd and A/C?

    Are they worth the investment?

Last night I pulled the exhaust off my car. I getting ready to pull the engine for rebuild. The RH muffler was date stamped 9 65! LH was a replacement.

TA Performance has also released their longtube headers with 3" collectors for 65/66 GS/Skylark with 401/425. Only part I'm skeptical of is the small 1 5/8" primaries.

That is the best you can do unless you want to go to a custom header. I have discussed this with Mr Quigg, Telesco and Faso. All are of the opinion that 1 3/4" or even 1 7/8" primaries would serve a good flowing Nailhead better then the available headers. They have all used larger custom headers to that end.
