is it blown or froze? never can tell guys if its shot motor or not...I bought a 64 Wildcat in the spring, Had 50 miles on it in 15 years and sat for years and years.....New fluids, tires, and a battery, and a little tinkering with the ignition, Drove it 600 miles Home...Guy thought I lost my marbles when I come to get it without a trailer....Where's the trailer" he said, "Shoot I'm drivin that Cat home" he laughed....4 hours later I drove off as he waived! Engine is out and being gone thru as we speak....Just never can tell...I think I may have to bid on that BABY!!!Later gearheads...THANKS FOR THE 2x4 Headsup! :Brow:
Yeh, I thought you were trying to tempt me with that Chris:grin: Chad might have a good point there. Personally,I usually expect the worst, so I am happy with anything better than worse (did that make any senseuzzled: :Brow: ) Usually those original carbs. get shot sitting up like that so I'd like to find one where the carbs are freed up but who knows I might snap this one up anyway. Anyhow thanks Chris I appreciate ya lookin out for me:TU: The Wildcat is "now" due here in 6 hours:bglasses: 3 days of delays but delivery time is still an excellent 7 days from time of order from California to North Carolina! I'm very impressed with that, AND there is nothing like getting your "new" car on a Friday:beer YAAHoooooo!
Super Wildcat and handy carry case This is a good deal, it probably has the BS trannie and 3.42:1 positraction! The carbies could be fixable, Carmen did some miracle stuff on a set I sent. They had been in a flood. Good luck with your 4-speed Wildcat! Do you know Matt? (I was wondering if he sold this car). Matt is restoring a 64 4-speed dual quad 3.91 posi no PS no PB car.
Hi Ted, No I don't know Matt although I'd like to get to know all the Wildcat guys. Mine is manual brakes, steering, and a 4 speed (don't know rear end ratio yet). I'm gonna be needing a manual brake master cylinder to get mine on the road as the one on the car is totally shot.
