I'm curious as to what a L-88 with 4-bolt main motor complete would bring? Ballpark !! Gary/Moz :Do No:

Wayne, Its a 68 4-spd motor hooked up to an auto now ! Close chambered heads ? does that sound kosher ? its been a long time since I've messed with chevy big blocks ! so I'm at a disadvantage on the lingo ! Gary/Moz

IT is the suffix code for a 68 L88.

I would like a chance to buy that engine, when it comes up for sale. Does it have a vin number, or is it an over the counter engine? It should be IT code. Could you get the build date?
I put one of those in a 67 Gran Sport, in 72, and my best friend still has it. Vicious little thing, with a 30 year old space cadet paint job. Shows up at Atco every once in a while.

As far as price, it would depend on condition and dates and numbers. I have seen jet boats on Ebay with L88 and LS6 motors go for under $3000.00 with trailer. They were over the counter engines, with later casting dates. An L88 with a 67 68 or early 69 build and IT code should be worth more.
