Hey guys, just thought i'd tell you my buildup and ask you what kind of power i should expect from my 69 430.

I've got a street avenger 770, an sp1 intake, stock heads with a valve job, and ta's 286 08-HL cam

TA 286-08HL .526" .543" 234 248 112 2000-6000 in case you dont know. Does anyone have a setup close to this that knows how much horsepower it puts out? thanks alot.

Im thinkin' you need more than stock heads for that cam/intake combo to really work well

I agree with Alan, that's a big cam, lotsa potential, porting those heads, and installing headers or ported exhaust manifolds will really bring the numbers up.
Without knowing if your running headers or not I couldn't say what you might be at power wise, your looking at a 30hp swing just with those.

I run a 9:1 430 with a 107 cam, B4B, quadrajet, stock heads. Best guess is around 400 rear wheel hp. Car with me in it is 4000+lbs and runs12.20's.

With stock heads, the HL cam doesn't do alot of extra good. The heads die about .500 lift. So for power you will want to run relatively more duration and stick with around .500 lift.

Polish the combustion chambers and try to get the compression at least to 10:1 with that cam. 238-248 is going to need a converter and at least 3.55 gears. It will definitely not sound like a stocker.

What is your car and type of goals for it?

Ya i have a 72 cutlass. I have a 3500 converter and some 3.90 gears that i will put in in a while. Goals? a car that stomps on the rice around town. :)

For that combo, I'd say you are on the right track duration-wise. You may skip the HL unless ported or TA heads are in your future. Then the 430 bore diameter becomes an issue too.

Also be aware that notched pistons are going to be necessary with that big of cam. At that point you really ought to find a 455 for the previous bore-shrouding issue, and pistons will likely be cheaper or the same $ too. There's nothing wrong with a 430, but practicality and cubic inches make the 455 a better choice. I think the 107 cam might work with unmilled heads/block and small valves, but it definitely will need checked, or someone here can say for sure.

You'll fry some rice with that car either way.
