I have a 430 out of 69 WC that is missing everything from the timing chain forward. I have a 70s 350 on the ground outside. What are the chances that that stuff fits? Besides the cover, how about the balancer, fuel pump, fuel pump eccentric? I allready know the distributor gear differs and I'm familiar with worn out timing covers. Thanks.

Bummer:mad: I kinda thought that, but I had to know for sure. It seems I'm aquiring a 70K 80 LeSabre with a blown 4.1. The only engine I have laying around that I suspect is good is the 430. However, someone abandoned the project while doing a chain and I can't compression test it without all that stuff. The search is on. Unless someone wants to trade me a good 350 for this 430?

I might have a 430 one laying around. I'll have to go up to the puckerbrush to see (can't go until Thursday). If not I have one from a 76 with a hole in it below the front seal. I know you're a good welder, but how about aluminum welding??

    Joe,

I can't do aluminum due to lack of equipment. Otherwise LMK if you have one. I have a built 430 thats been sitting for about ten years. I may just use its stuff. I hate to, but its all there and paid for. Although that forty dollar one looked real nice!
