If you get there early feel free to partake of the free hot breakfast, Assuming they off a free hot breakfast. For 200$ a night it better not be cold cereal and fruit!
I'm jealous, damn stupid wedding! John drink one for me, this stupid wedding I have to go to, won't have any alcohol. WTF! Fernando
Bummer! There always seems to be something going on the in Tampa Bay Area Fernando. Hopefully we can meet at another event. I've got the car to the point that I feel more confident driving it around, now.
I chased a problem with coolant puddling up on top of the timing cover on my 400, for months. Eventually I figured out that it was the thermostat housing gasket that would seep a little bit in the thinner area, near the bypass hose connection. Purchased a new-to-me thermostat housing from a member here, resurfaced the gasket side, got a new gasket (not the adhesive type), and put a good layer of sealer on both sides of the gasket. No more puddle of coolant on the timing cover.
I wish that’s what it was or you can clearly see the timing cover gasket pushed out & coolant pours out
Ouch... That is way more involved to fix, though eventually I need to pull the timing cover on mine and replace the front oil seal.
I can’t wait for tomorrow morning. Will be leaving in about an hour to spend the night at my high school buddies house in Lakeland.
Have a Great time folks. Maybe next year we will come down for a week or so with the 66 Wildcat GS. It would be fun to visit along the way. I'm going to mount a 1.8 Honda engine in the trunk to save gas
The best part of the day..... We’re at the restaurant right now. We park our cars. Steve, aka Briz, parks right next to a Polk County Sheriff car with 2 deputies inside. He says to the police, “Does that thing do a burnout?” The cop laughs and says, No. The cop says to Steve, “Does that do a burnout?” Steve says, “Hell yes, can I do one?” The cop says yes. Steve does a good little rip right next to the cops! People in the parking lot started cheering, and the cops laughed!!! Awesome day!!!! I took a lot of pictures today. I’ll post them when I’m sober tomorrow. That’s a lie!!!
Just got home from the show. What a great day! The GS400 started and ran flawlessly all day long, and I had a blast with Briz, John, Alex, Jim and their families! I didn't take as many pictures as John, but I'll post up some tomorrow. It was nice to meet Phil and Richard too!
Damn, I knew I should have went to eat rather than driving home. Burn outs with the cops!!!! Any way we had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Here are some pictures I took: This was on leaving town. First time out of Zephyrhills under it's own power. Our group. And Briz winning best Buick!
John wasnt fast enough on the draw with his phone camera. I dont think any of them knew what was about to happen.
Milton, wrong, wrong, wrong. It did happen. Steve, I wasn't slow. I was actually out of my car with phone / camera in hand. I went to take a picture and immediately saw the cop car's number of their squad car on the side of the roof rail, and decided the cops probably didn't want their picture painted all over the internet. You'll just have to believe 8 people with the same story. Oh ya, and the people waiting to get in the restaurant all cheering. It was a blast!!!!
