Any problems putting a 455 into a 86 El Camino? Currently my son's car has a 307 with a 200-r4, guessing it should be an easy swap?

The only problem I can think of is a total lack of traction! :)
I don't really have any info, but I can at least take it to the top for you. Sounds like a cool project.

Shouldn't be any different than the swap into a Regal (other than the poetic justice of a Buick-powered Chevy).

Spend a couple of hours reading thru old threads in this forum & you should easily find all the info you'll need.

    Good luck!

Keep in mind you will need tranny upgrades in order for the trans to hold up. Also educate yourself on getting the tps set correctly because if not it can cause you burn up a tranny quick. The stock 7.5 rear is also suspect and will break if you beat on it. TA Performance's support cover will go a long way in extending the limits of what the 7.5 will take. Enjoy.

Very easy, pretty much just a standard 455-G body swap, shearch through this forum for more detailed answers to the swap.

The only "gotcha" I can think of involves the elky's extra 10" wheelbase makingyour torque twist worse than normal. Might want to invest in a strengthened tranny crossmember (G force or self made).

    Post some pics! :TU:
