455 rod nuts

What size socket should I be using on my 455's stock rods? 9/16 seemed too small, and 5/8 seemed too big. A 12mm or 13mm (I don't remember which) seemed to fit well. That can't be right, can it? Any help is greatly appreciated! --- Tim
