Does anyone know where I can get a serpentine set up for a stage 1 with air. I keep spittting my belts off at high rpm. Would a deep grove set of v pulleys work better for this problem? Thanks! :)

A Board member here is working on such a set up. Having said that I suspect your current set up is off stock spec due to a misallignment of the pulleys, incorrect belt etc.

I put one of those belts that you get rom advabced auto parts, and slung that off over 4000 rpm every time. If I just use a Dayco belt, I never have a problem, all the way to red line.

I also thought I read something about a serpentine set-up a while back. Better do a search.

I contacted Rob. He has a serpentine set up for non-air cars and a billet pulley for v groove set up. Since I have A/C and like using it, I guess I will have to look at the v-groove set up. If I am going to spend the money, I would like to first make sure that I can't find a deep groove pulley to help with whatever misalignment I can't get rid of. I have T/A Aluminum heads with their aluminum brackets for a/c alt, and power steering. I need to move the a/c alt forward a little to get rid of the misalignment. I also plan on buying the Dayco belts for added insurance. Fix this, a rear intake oil leak, buy some tires that will hook, and I plan to run 11.60's while driving the car 95 miles to the track. I think my 1998 ET streets are just too old to stick, it's too bad because they have a lot of tread left. I wonder if there is a compound that could bring them back to life. Thanks for all the help, and thanks to everyone that made Norwalk a fun day! :)
