Well, after much deliberation, I've decided to just go ahead and get rid of the whole engine. The short block has 30 over forged pistons, stock rods with ARP rod bolts, stock crank, TA 284-88 cam, lifter, stock water pump and timing cover and stock oil pan. The engine was rebuilt in the summer of 09 and has about 15k on the clock. The engine WILL need to be rebuilt. I believe I fried some bearings because my timing was too far advanced (I had 14* of mechanical timing and close to 22 of initial timing with no detonation as far as I heard), but I really have no idea. The pistons all look to be in good shape, no scoring in the cylinder walls and the cam lobes look fine as well. I can't speak for the rest of the engine. I would prefer local pickup and even some help getting it out of the engine bay if possible. If you arrange pick up I wouldn't be against shipping it.
