Hi Guys Is That What These 2 Door Fastbacks Are Called? Torpedo Backs??? Are They Considered Rare,????? Hard To Find In Immaculate Condition Inside And Out? What Do They Sell For $$$$................... Thanks Aussiebuick. (ballpark Figure)
The official name was sedanette, commonly called a fastback or torpedo back. They are fairly rare and the Roadmaster and Super models bring quite a bit, Specials are cheaper.
Also... Buick sometime called them "Jetback", although this may have only been 1950 and newer. I think these are just works of art. Looked for mine for several years before finding the right one, picktured in my avatar, a '49 RM w/ 38K actual, but needing attention. One of these days....
I found a running '49 Roadmaster sedanette about 4 years ago for $4K and passed it over. I've been kicking myself ever since. :spank: Cool cars :ball:
