What kind of 4spd trans would the L88 have backing it up. I have an offer to buy one (trans) but can't find out what type of trans it is. I have these numbers if it will help. # 6987, IfG4, 8926656
Would've *originally* been a Muncie (M20/M21/M22)...nothing ultimately special about them, except for the VIN# stamped on them...if it is truly a Muncie, then look for the application code...it will start with a "P"...like "P3D27B", which is a '73 M21 built April 27th.
