My rear has a problem with whoever put the plastic water bottle of sauce on the table near the pork with no warning label. Getting ready to head back over for the Cars and coffee cruise.

For lack of a better way to say it, I feel you. That stuff was toxic, but wasn't throwing Miltons pulled pork because of it. So I got rude with myself and puckered up.

And that Hemi got hot sitting in the Cars and Coffee line on Beeline, but the Buick got hot coming home from Johns.

Good job taking pics before I showed up in my ratty GN. I kinda felt bad that it was the easiest car for residents to see as they cruised slowly past. No need to drag the board down too.

I had to bail on the cars n coffee due to getting hot in traffic. I had a long drive home and wasnt going to stay past 10AM anyway. Broke formation and got some clear air in front of the old cat then headed home. She didnt make it all the way and finished the last 100 on a trailer. Still was a good weekend

WHOA!!! What a GREAT Get Together!!! First I must thank my wife, who does a fantastic job of organizing, and making sure everything works as planned. Next I would like to thank Milton, AKA Stump Puller455. Milton... that was the BEST pulled pork I ever had!!! Milton cooked it to perfection! Deb and I had hoped Milton was going to cook it, and also shred it. He brought the meat to the party wrapped up, and inside a Yeti cooler. He said, "I'm not going to shred it." A little before 1 PM Deb and I prepared to shred it. I cannot tell you how easy it was! We literally took 2 big forks to this giant hunk of meat, and it just fell apart!!! It must have been the cooking, because last year we worked at it. THANK YOU Milton!!!
Next I would like to thank the people who donated prizes for the raffle. Wild Bill, thank you for the posters! My grand daughter actually won the Grateful Dead poster, and she only put her name in the bucket 1 time! I won the Buick history poster! I'm super happy!!! GSFred donated some T-shirts. Briz, donated some cool items, but the coolest item was a gift to me. A penguin. To funny!!! He, or she, will be my permanent mascot in my convertible. To cool! Hector donated some cool magazines filled with Buick articles that a few people enjoyed taking. I hope I thanked everyone. My head was spinning with all the people!
The official count... I believe we had over 23 cars, and about 50 people!!! It might not have been the biggest Get Together, but it was the most fun!!!
Side story, an older guy stopped by. He parked his truck across the street. He comes over and is checking out all the nice cars. I introduced myself to him. He said he was driving from Long Island to Miami. He said he had read about the Get Together so he thought he should stop in. I said, Do you know GSFred? He did. I said, Fred's right up there. He was excited! To cool!!!
Cool cars... Steve, Briz, showed up first. Wish I had a long distance award to give out because Steve would get it!!! He drives his cars from pretty much the Florida / Georgia line. Steve showed up in his recently purchased 1966 Wildcat convertible. What a cool car!!! A giant cruiser built like a race car. It has a full length console and a working Buick tach. A very cool car!
Next I believe was Hector. He's got a beautiful GS455. He says it needs some work, but my son and I say it is pristine! Andrew Sury showed up with 2 cars. A real nice GS455 convertible, and a 1967 GTX with a 426 Hemi. I know, I know... Some of you are saying, "He brought a MOPAR to the party? We used my neighbor's yard for the brand X cars. This car was a fully documented, 38,000 original miles car. I gotta tell you, I LOVE Buicks, but GTXs will always be one of my favorite muscle cars! Milton showed up with the meat. Am I talking about "the meat", or his engine. He's got a JW 482 engine that is stout! By the way, Milton got the award for the best burnout of the day!!! He left without a burnout, but wait.... people were disappointed, but as he traveled about 30 feet he floored it. That baby lit up the tires through 2nd gear!!!! At least a 200 foot burnout!!! Nice job. I'll get pictures of that, and the new "runway" in front of my house. That road has been striped!!! We had about 11 V8 cars, and a whole slew of GNs, that included 2 GNXs. Very cool. We had a new couple show up. Tom just got his car out of the body shop. A very nice 72 Skylark convertible. I believe they had a GREAT time! Tom's wife, Robin, said, "You should do this more often!" I told her, "My son's friends think I should do this twice a year." She said, "You should do this 4 times a year!" I think they had a great time and met a bunch of cool Buick people.
Now I have to add pictures. I hate my new phone!!! I'll do that in the morning. Sorry...

Oops, I forgot you Mike Jones. Sorry!!! Mike shows up in a different car every year. Last year he brought his 1965 Buick GS that was featured in the last GSXtra. He got the "Big Dog Award" from Jay Leno. Very nice!!! (I had him autograph my copy of the GSXtra.) Now it is worth big money! He came in a beautiful 70 GS a few years back, and this year a beautiful 87 GN. Thanks for coming Mike! Always a pleasure seeing you!!!

Just remembered I forgot southern Steve. He came in his trusty, and I believe, daily driven GN. I don't remember the exact mileage, but I think its very high. He drives his car! Thanks for showing up Steve. He's got a 69 GS that is being held in restoration jail. One day we'll get to see it. I know the feeling Steve. They hold them forever!
