A friend of mine has a 70 GS 455 and wants to put in a 5 speed and he needs the trans, shifter and yoke for the driveshaft....any ideas thanks Bill
Until they are remade the straight Cutlass lever the ticket. I had two real Buick Hurst shifter last year but they have since departed to other Board members. Chicken lips we call them.
Here is a site that some have used, http://keislerauto.com/gm/chevelle-gen2-kits.html. It seems like they had to do a little more cutting on the trans tunnel that Keisler advertised. I wanted to put one in my GS, but I can't bring myself to cut up the tunnel on a original 4 speed big block car.
I have a 5-spd that I will be parting with. Trans, yoke, shifter less ball. It is currently in a GS behind a 455 and I'm not positive what it is. (I was told when I bought the car that it was from a "late model" Corvette). I would prefer to trade this for a '70 BA code TH400, but you never know. It is unlikely I can remove it from the car until spring, how soon does your friend need it?
