Hey guys I have a question will a t-5 five speed fit in the trans tunnel of a 67 buick GS340. Here is my problem I want to put a manuel transmission in my GS but I also want overdrive. It would be going behind a pretty stock 300. The 300 hasa 4 barrel, small poston cam, headers, MSD iginition, and recurved distributer. I know that the T-5 transmissions are weak, but this strickly a cruiser. Actually I have heard it both ways some say the t-5 are weak, others say that built right the are pretty decent. My dads boss has an 85 mustang with the t-5 tranny used better syncros and hardened gears behind a 14:1 302. This tranny was fine for 4 years until he went to a lenco tranny. I don't want to cut up the tranny tunnel to put it in so if it don't fit i will not do it. does it have the same bolt pattern as a muncie? Also what is the diffrence between the chevy and ford t-5. Will the ford one bolt up to the GM bell housing
