Could anyone advise me which carb I should use for street application.

I have two Edelbrock carbs, a 500cfm and a 750cfm both 4brl. I'm putting it on a 68 Skylark 350 motor that is being put in an 85 Regal.

I have heard the Buick motors like a bigger carb but is 750cfm too big for the 350?

It is being mounted on a Poston S intake. I might take this to the track to see what kind of times I'll get but otherwise, I'm making this my daily driver.

    Any advice would be helpful.
    Thanks,

A 500 CFM carb is too small for any Buick V8.

    Go with the 750 CFM

The factory from my understanding came with a 750. I defenitly think the 500 is way to small for this application and the 750 will be better for performance compared to the 500. I have a 600 on my 72 350 and actually think it is not enough as well. just my thoughts.

even if they are both mechanical secondaries carbs, i'd go for the 750.

I would have to agree with everyone else, go with the 750. 500 is too small for a buick.

500 is definantly too small. As far as the original carb being a 750, it's a q-jet, so it's a different ballgame, primaries are real small, and the secondaries run on an air door. I believe the edelbrocks also use an air door...
I'm running a 750 holley on mine, it's all good.

Sounds good to me. Now if I could only get my hands on a pair of used headers (too much $$ for the new ones).
