Want to swap a 56 stick set up from a special into a 54 Century. Anybody know of any problems with this? Also could get a stick set up from a 53 Super or 55 special if the 56 won't work. 54 is a dynaflow btw Thanks

The length from the back of the motor to the front of the torque tube is some thing you'll need to check I think there was two different lengths. I think the 56 steering colunm will work in a 55 I'd measure the length again to be sure, don't plan on finding a floor shift for these transmissions they shift with a whole different system than the Chevy transmissions. The 56 trans will be much heavier than the 55 Special.

According to Hollander the transmissions are different, I'm assuming because the 56 has the 322, but I'm thinking if I have a complete parts car its doable, but might require changing out entire drivetrain through the rear end?

The 53 322cu" Super trans may be the same as the 56 322cu" Special, but the pre 56 Specials had 264 cu" and lighter trans. The Super and Roadmasters where built on a longer Caddy size frame while the Special and Century are on the shorter Oldsmobile size frame. If you look at the roof on an Olds it matches your Century.
