I usually like to have it on the Saturday between Christmas and New Years. Like last year, this year Christmas and New Years are on a Saturday.

The date is: January 14th, 2006 at my house.

I will be sending out PM's, Emails, etc. over the next couple of weeks with directions, times, etc. Same format as always. If you are able to bring something - Great ! If not, that's no big deal either. If you don't get a PM or Email, just holler at me and I'll get you directions. Everyone is invited. Last year we had record attendance, at right around 50 people ! The cops only showed up once. uzzled:

Each year we seem to have some sort of "theme". One year it was rare, one-off parts. We had an all aluminum Olds 455 block, a 4-bolt main Stage 1 455 Buick block, some aluminum Mopar body panels .... what else ? Hmmm ? Well you get the idea. Not sure what it will be this year, but we'll figure out something. :TU:

How's about we get a coupla **** box 80's era FWD cars, say a Mopar and a Buick, and have a real Buick vs Mopar shootout in the back 40 like the Howe camper!!!!!! :beer :beer We could start with a tire melting burnout contest, then a demo derby out back. If the engines still run, like the Olds Homecoming, drain all the fluids out of them, start them up and see which one runs the longest. Can sell tickets for the closest guess! Can pay the tickets and fines. Or, could drain all the fluids before the burnout contest! :Brow: :Brow:

They'll have something new to talk about for the next decade! :TU: :TU:

 

Dave, I noticed that you want to use a Buick and a Mopar! Are you afraid to put an olds in the ring with either one, or is it that you don't want to waste any "precious" Olds sheet metal?? o No: o No: o No: o No:

 

Naw, Olds is dead, R.I.P. You guys are on life support, so still fair game. Mopars are, well............., Mopars...........

Far as I'm concerned, they could crush every FWD Olds ever made except the Toronadoes. They all suck.

Just thought that the old "Hemi vs Buick" thing is getting smelly every time it's dug up (kinda like Elvis, let's dig him up and see if he's really dead). This could add some new material.

 

For those that do plan on coming, just shoot me a PM, EMail, or reply here with the number of people attending, etc. so that I can make sure that you get directions. This will also help me in the "preparations". :beer

 

Casey you kill me every year it is when I will be gone. I could send with Dan or someone a Cross Boss intake in my place. Likely it is more interesting and better company anyhow.

I will drink one up north with the non-car guys I will be with in honor of the party. Well maybe a few drinks. Then we can do the Buick/Mopar thing with say Arctic Cats and Polaris's as I dont ride those.

AS the Michigan Buick Performance Club aka Buick GSCA Michigan Chapter has captured January 14 as a Club day, maybe we will change our plans to invade Casey's Place instead! We will be discussing this at our Christmas party on Sunday, Dec 11, at Gracies in New Lothrop, MI. All are welcome, Social hour noon -1PM, Dinner Buffet at 1PM. $14.95 per person. More later!

Prepping the domicile for y'all. I sent Cindy over to talk "very nicely" to the neighbor so that we could park vehicles in her front yard. :TU:

Unfortunately, the 413 long ram motor is not quite ready for fire up, so we won't have any "start up entertainment". But it does sound like we will have some first timers here this year. Break 'em in easy ............ :laugh:

I'll just send Stefina out there to park cars. Leave him your keys ..... he'll valet park it ......... uzzled:
