1962 Buick Wildcat 2dr Hardtop. Rare mid-year introduction car, low production. Owned by same family for the last 35 years. Current owner is the second owner if I remember correctly. This is an unmolested original, stock car still wearing its factory applied Fawn Mist (code T) paint, its original Tuxedo “long grain” white vinyl top and fawn bucket seat interior, all in outstanding condition. Gorgeous original chrome and pot metal. High investment potential; as more classics are restored and modified, unrestored stock survivors will be difficult to find. Options include Wonderbar radio with power antenna, vintage dealer installed AC--blows cold! Introduced in mid-year 1962, the Buick Wildcat came through with factory bucket seats, console with floor shifter, a Buick tachometer, and were powered by a 325 horsepower 401 cubic inch “Nailhead” V8 with 4-barrel carburetor, factory dual exhaust with enlarged pipes (Wildcat only) and a special 3.42: 1 rear. This car runs and drives like new other than a slight lifter tap, which is an easy repair for those in the know. 80,000 miles. New headliner. Extra parts including original window sticker included. Driven to many BCA Nationals. Drive anywhere right now with confidence. $18,900. If interested, please PM me and I can put you in touch with the owner.
This car has 80,000 pampered miles on it. It's been owned by the same couple for the last 35 years. Original drivetrain, T3 headlights, new headliner, correct tachometer and dealer installed AC that works. The owner has numerous parts, some NOS and a few spare body parts, all for an additional fee. If interested, please contact me. Car is located on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
Did he drive it to the GS Nationals in BG before? Could have sworn I spoke with a guy from FL with one just like that at the LaQuinta 10 or so years ago.....
Not sure if he has had it at the Nats but I know it has been judged at BCA events. He had a baby blue convertible Invicta also that he used to take to BCA events for judging. He brought the car down from NY and some know of it from up that way.
OK V8 Buick People: So, a nice presentation, very tidy, has a/c that probably works for Florida and it looks really clean. Like a few other Bu's out there that are clean....the money is not oppressive, it just depends how much a prospect really wants it. Mitch
Anybody that knows me knows I love the Wildcats! I have seen this car at a couple BCA events and it's a nicer car than my 62 although I like my color combination better. It's a very nice original car with some tasteful modifications that would easily earn a AACA Historic Preservation of Original Features award. Well worth the money for a first year limited production Wildcat. Where else could you get this kind of car for less than 20K?
