HOTCHKISS $$$,..need to be cleaned from smoke ..they saw no heat whatsoever the stickers are still on them,..just not the type of arm I need or I would use them lubed them up replace ball joint boots and go,..one ball joint has some surface rust from not having a boot,..just wd 40 and you're good. These were used for mock up only. BILLET cross shafts THEY ARE FOR THE S10 SPINDLES AS FAR AS KNOW,... $300plus ship for the arms and the s10 brake swap,..if it were me I would forego the rotors and buy new as the cost of shipping with them would be more than new ones I bet Blasted and painted lower stock arms with poly bushings
If these are for the tall spindle the lower balljoint will have a larger taper than the the stock 64-72 joint and will not work with a stock spindle. The lower ball joint for the tall spindle is a larger unit that needs turned down in a lathe to fit in the 64-72 control arm. So if this is a tall spindle conversion set, it would be advantageous to sell the lower balljoint with the upper arms. The buyer would only need to source the spindles to have a complete set up. To the perspective buyer- the tall spindle conversion is a bit dated these days, but still a good bang for the buck. I did it 15 years ago and I would not do anything different. Great way to get disc brakes and a vast improvement in handling.
Believe the "tall" spindle refers to certain '78 - '90 B spindles. The '77 B spindle, like the '78 A car spindle, used one year bearings so they are not recommended/included in fitment. The engineers must have been fiddling around. This was probably due to fact they were trying to adapt "corporate" front suspension to the new B car. Am not also positive whether the '91 - '96 B spindle can be used.
70-81 f-body spindles as well. That's the nice part of the swap- the spindles are everywhere and cheap.
Would a later b-body spindle have a speed sensor? I remember most of those turds having rear abs only.
First generation S-10 are NOT tall spindles. They are the same as G-body. I'm not sure about the later S-10s, after '94.
The spindles I used with my Hotchkiss arms were from a 72 Camaro. Used 73 A-body inner tie rods. I forget on the lower ball joints but I know that I had a machine shop cut them down a bit to fit the stock lower control arms.
