64 B-Body Windshield Moulding Clips

Discussion in 'Chassis restoration' started by BamaWildcat, Jun 3, 2005.

  1. I need the clips that hold the windshield molding to windshield, as seen in the picture below. CARS in NJ shows possible clips, each with different dimemensions, but none listed for '64. As I will not be the one to extract the windshield, I do not currently know exactly what the clip looks like or what its measurements are. Anyone here put a windshield in a Wildcat? Are the front and back clips the same?

    Please help.

I assume that catalog page is from Restoration Specialties Supply? If not, then contact them. Patton

  4. That catalog is from CARS in NJ. I am looking at Restoration Speciality Supply now, but their clip doesn't look exactly like what I have now.

  5. Here is the clip I am looking for:

  6. I'm adding this so if anyone searches they will find some relevant info :)

It turns out that Restoration Specialties and Supplies did have the clips. I had to send them the clips for comparison.

Because they shipped the clips direct to the body shop, I don't know which is which, but I do know for a 1964 Buick Full Size, the correct clips are "CLP-2628" and "CLP-C998."

Like I say I don't know which is which, but one part is for the correct rear clip, and one clip is the correct front clip.

I know this isn't the best info, but at least if you have a 64 full-size and are in a jam, you don't have to send them clips and then wait on them to analyze them, you can just order a bunch of each of those part numbers.

    Happy restorations :Brow:
