Hello. I have a 64 Buick Special radio. As soon as you turn it on you can hear sound and then it dies out. Would anyone know what component I would need to replace? I am pretty handy soldering but cannot diagnose the radio. Taking it to a repair place is expensive. They usually want to recondition it. Any help would be appreciated. u live in cambridge? u have a fellow in kitchener that repairs older car radios & 8 track players, etc. he does great work at a fair price, in my opinion. he repaired my am/fm 8track unit. grandpa's radio shop 26 queenston cr. kitchener . i have his phone# at work. can obtain on monday.
