Pics added- 64 Skylark Sport Coupe-Black Roof or Body Color ?

What should a black roof be painted with ? Mid Gloss , High Gloss ? The car was resprayed previously so I'm not sure if it was body color or blacked out .
It has the polished trim around the edges . Did they all come that way ?
I'm just about set on GM 2006 Imperial Blue (very dark blue) Black/Grey interior .
    Thanks ,

great googly moogly. Painted tops were the same colors that were available for the bottom, so they would be gloss. That halo treatment is pretty cool, even without a 2 tone color scheme the trim looks cool.
What code was the car's color originally?

That area cries out for something other than body color. My '65 was originally body color (bamboo cream) but I had black vinyl installed and it really sets off the yellow as well as the trim. I have never seen a stock '64 2 door hardtop without the trim. In '65 I am pretty sure that all 2 door hardtops also only came with the trim. The '65 GS 2 door hardtop had a slightly different vinyl top which covered the whole roof and the rear sail panels as well.

I'd have to go out and find the cowl tag (light to mid blue) Hit it with the DA and curled the edge up pretty good  .
I was thinking about slick-roofing it (rust around retainer strip holes and under retainers . But i've got that solved . I've gotta relocate the strips though and trying to come up with a water-tight solution while keeping the strips tight to the roof otherwise they'll lift the trim which would look like sh!te .
This is a picture of it when it came home ,and now , 2 years later .
    Merry Christmas,
    Steve
