I just picked up a 64 Wildcat convertible that was the victim of a 1980's "restoration" with various sheet metal and bondo patches. Need to replace passenger compartment floor braces and the trunk pan, maybe the floor pans as well (and inner rockers). Not having the originals to look at here is the question: Will the GM B body floors etc, like for an Impala in the same year series, work in the Wildcat? Rocker panels? How about windows in the doors? If it (floors, etc) doesn't fit, has anyone got a source for the correct Buick parts? If anyone reading this knows of rear quarters, I could use them. Parts car would be considered! Thanks!
Been doing some research lately and came up with these: http://c2cfabrication.com/gm/buick/wildcat/ http://www.classicfabrication.com/ Hope that helps!
Thanks Ken. That does help. Still need more than they offer; the trunk pan and rear structure, and it is not clear that all the braces are available. It would make sense that GM mandate would be for commonality at certain points. I have found all he parts for an Impala (1964). Since it was on the X frame, it would make sense that the "below surface" metal is the same. Sometimes what makes sense is wrong! Anyone know?
