i'll get a picture of it tomarow when i go out by the cars its an 8.2 i am sure though i will be coming your way this spring after school is done will be visiting in bethlehm pa, right over the border thanks Greg
It's an 8.2 8.5 wasn't avail until 1971. Yardley's picnic is on May 8th. Will you be here then? It's about an hour south of Bethlehem.
this is the rear end it looks to be a 8.2 rear, when i opended it it was clean and in great shape first one to say they want it gets it Greg
The rear end in the picture is not from a '66 Skylark--doesn't have the right shape cover for a 64-67 8.2 The brackets welded behind the backing plates are strange as well--a 64-67 8.2 simply has a backing plate and that is it. A 8.2 has bolt in axles, and that is a C-clip rear end because it doesn't have the 4-bolt flange to hold the axle and bearing in the end.
Yah, That thing is a G-body 7.5. FAR from anything in 66 67 lol. They started making that rear in 1978. OOOps. Someone is NOT going to be happy. Jim
i took it out of a 65 skylark, i am no expert on the a body cars, so please lets just let it go then if you guys think it is wrong you never know with these old cars what people have done to them it looks like it fit right in? thanks Greg
