I always thought Skylark 8.2 rears were the same width from 64-67 but when I needed an axle for my 65 rear I got one out of a 66 and it was longer. I also found out the axles are not the same length for right and left. Who knew?
Word is that the rear width changed sometime between '66 and '67. All my 66's have the narrower rear, like the '65. The rear wheel bearings are also different between the '65 GS and '66 GS, so I suspect the axles are as well. Furthermore, both GS's use a larger dia axle (and bearing) than the regular Skylark.ou:
