I have rebuilt my seats for my '65 4 door. They look terriffic! Except for the broken plastic sleeves that the seat belts go through. Does anyone have some they are willing to part with? I suspect they are the same for '64 on up. I'll take any color, but turquoise is preferred. Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the retractor covers? If so they can be bought repro on Ebay or supply places.

No Bruce, what I need is particular to bench seat cars. They are plastic sleeves that screw to the back of the seat through which the seatbelts go. It is the buckle side not the retractor side. Generally they are pretty beat after 43 years of use. I suspect other GM A body or maybe even large series may work. The problem is finding them. Everyone tossed these benches to install buckets which don't use 'em.

I will look at my 65 4 door parts car at the farm and if they are good you can have em.I know they are there lets just hope they are good.I do have another seat too that may have them on too up there so maybe between both seats we can find a good set.........Bruce

I've got a pair of those, they might even be turquoise, I'll have to dig them out and check the condition.

    Brian,

Exactly! I am willing to trade some of my extra '65 parts or cash. Let me know what you need. Thanks.

    Greg,

I really did not plan to sell these. They were to help u you out for reference. I have 2 seats that need a set and the tan set is junk (cracked). I have 2 more parts cars that may have these in them still.

But you never know I may decide to trade a set. I need interior skylark door panel emblems for a 65. I also need a set of 65 fender birds with good chrome.

    Brian,

Actually my comment about trades was directed to everyone who responded. I really appreciate your posting of pictures of what I needed. I don't think I have a spare good set of door panel emblems. I may have a set of front fender birds but at this point, condition is unknown. After work today I'll dig through my stuff and see what I can come up with.

    Brian and others,

I went through my stash and found a couple of inside door emblems but they were very rough, lots of crazing and cracks in the casting. I did have better luck with the fender birds but I only found 2 and they also have some crazing in the chrome. Unfortunately I need the right one for my project car so I only have the driver's side.

Anyone else? I do have some of the hard to find stuff like side trim fasteners, a '65 tilt wheel turn signal switch, a chrome ring and emblem for the long console (in place of the tach) and tons of small stuff. I'm not looking to sell any of this, only trade something for the seatbelt sleeves I need. Or I am willing to pay cash money for a good set. Turquoise preferred, all considered. Thanks.
