Ok so I managed to find a pair of bucket seats. Only problem is that it's missing the seat trim. Anyone have a set? I will post a pic in a little while of the part I need. Doesn't have to be perfect, thanks in advance.:beers2:
Joe, How many holes are in the piece of trim? I have a couple trim pieces from Artie that were from his Dad's 63 Vette that look like what you need. The only thing is the 2 pieces I have are for the side you don't need. I believe he has the other side at his or his dads house. Good Luck, Bob
Here's a pic of my good bucket seat. The trim is what I need. It has 2 screw holes on the side. I measured it from bottom to top by bending the tape measure around the bend and it seems to be about 24 and 1/2 inches or so.
It looks like a bunch of GM cars might use these same trim pieces. I did a search on eBay - Bucket Seat Trim - I found a 64 Chevelle Bucket Seat Trim that looks kind of what you need. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964...025QQitemZ380012710900QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I also ran across this - I know you don't need the whole seat. I think the corvair trim might be the same :Comp: . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/64-6...006QQitemZ160224307339QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V You might be able to wait until you find a nice set if these are the same trim pieces you need :Brow: . Good Luck, Bob
I think they are the same for a GTO-you would think they would be repopped, but that was not the case when I looked. The 65 Wildcat Custom ones have the brushed stainless look-Wildcat Deluxe buckets had the pointy top shiny ones too! cheers,
I'm telling you. It sucks they don't repop alot of things for us 64 65 Lark guys! I had to wait for like 5 yrs to get door panels. ( 15 years ago )
Joe, there's an online parts catalog at www.65gs.com Goto 'electronic garage' In the left window, click on 'pages' and goto page 663. There's a pic of the seat there. Somewhere around page 792 are the seat mouldings. Find the pn, then try a google search on that pn. That might turn up other applications for it (GTO, Corvair, whatever) Then goto ebay and do the same. Hope you find something. There must be other GM's that used the same parts. If you go to E-town's swap meet, visit the 'other' GM vendors.....Ames Pontiac, Ground Up, Ausleys, etc, etc. AND GET THEIR CATALOGS!! There are alot of GM repo parts out there that will fit our GS's, but aren't advertised for GS's. it's tough being a Buick guy, but if it was easy, everyone would have one! :beers2:
Thanks Walt but thats not 64 65, it looks like a reclining seat with headrest and the 65 seat doesn't have a headrest or recline. How can I search for the right seat? I appreciate the help.
Thanks for the lead Greg.:TU: And no problem on the mirrors dude. When you get a chance. Thanks again.
