I just got a 65 Electra 225 Conv from a dear friend for some work this winter. It has a bad fan shroud, anybody know where I can get a good one? It is an air-car so I guess it should have a fan shroud. And the fan motor is bad on it. Is it the same motor on air / non-air cars? I know they are located in different locations but are the motors the same?
Post here for the fan shroud. AC cars were so rare in 65 it may be hard to find. Can you fix it? The fan motor is almost surely not the same, but I don't know for sure. You can buy the wheel (squirrel cage) but if the motor is bad, it can be rebuilt at a good electric shop.
The fan shroud is a very tough score. I found a guy parting out an Electra and fortunately it had one. Good luck. Rick
