    Howdy,
I am looking for help or information about this piece of paper found under the back seat of my '65 GS. It looks like these are option codes, but I don't know what it means as far as what is or is not on this car.
The options I do know of are: tinted windows, console, and that's it.
    Any help would be appreciated!

The codes look like interior UPC codes and all of them will not directly relate to options that were available on your car.

A50 is for bucket seats in '65 (I think).
D55 is for an operating console.

The other codes are for capeting and other interior features. You may find these codes in a 1965 Factory Assembly Manual if you can get your hands on one.

Mike, thanks a bunch! I didn't think it would be too important, but you can never be too sure. I'll still keep it w/my other documentation.

    Guys,
Those sheets are UPC codes that Fisher Body used to put your body shells together. The 70-72 cars have sheets similar to these that are usually found attached to the springs on the passenger's seat bottom.

I have a question, have either of you guys removed the driverside front fender? I was wondering what number, if any, was written on the cowl with a wax pencil.

    Duane,
Thanks for the info! When I disassembled my car, there was nothing in grease pencil on the cowl under either fender. There was an orange grease pencil "X" on the firewall over the heater box. Thats it.
Any speculation on what the circled number means in the upper left corner?

    Mark,
I am pretty sure I know what it means, but I am awating verification before I say anything here. Did you see that number anywhere else, like on a wheel or somewhere on the frame?

And more importantly, where was your car built?

While we are at this, can you list all the info from the fisher body tag here?

    Duane,
Never gave it a second thought that the number might appear elsewhere. I'll have to go through all the info I found on disassembly to see. I would say unlikely on the frame just from memory, and I have all of the original wheels, so I'll have to go check em out.

Car was Fremont built, as I am assuming Mr. Luters car was, being on the west coast.

    Here is the tag info:

    5B
    ST 65-44437 BODY BF7723
    TR 158 PAINT TT
    ACC C27 28442

There is also a very odd looking 24 obviously hand stamped under the "CORP." on the top line of the tag, "BUICK DIV. GENERAL MOTORS CORP."

Just for grins while we're at it, here is the tag info from a KC built car I parted out -

    01D
    ST 65-44437 KAN 2895 BODY
    TR 158-B R-2 PAINT
    E 2XCP 4S 5
