Have seen much written here on 70 - 72 body mounts but not too much on the 64/65/66 cars. I have also been disappointed with various "qualities" of repro mounts for the 65. I got a set from OPG that seemed much harder than stock and a sample from Ames performance that was much cushier, similiar to what's left of my original rubbers, but still not looking all that great. I'll check Steele next. No one seems to have a core support that is even close to my original pieces. The bottom rubber has the number BM1 362749 molded into it. The steel pieces are in good shape to reuse. Does anyone know if GM or other rubbers are available for this?

    Any advise here is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Pat,

I used the mount set from Year One, but they aren't 100% like factory either. They seem harder and a bit thicker, although the factory rubber cushions are at the near disintegration stage so it's a little hard to judge what they were like in 1965. I'm tempted to get the set from Ames just to see what they look like.

It might be worth checking out Performance Years, which deals with Pontiac parts. I bought some small bits & pieces from them that I don't think anyone else had that were 100% like factory.
