Hi All, its getting time on the resto to get the interior parts ready for reinstallation. My dash is cracked and I was wondering if anyone had experience in recovering one at home. It LOOKS like , if I had the new vinyl, I could stretch, glue, and staple over the core, once the original is removed. Would I damage beyond use the foam padding underneath and have to find a substitute? I have bought and installed replacement door panels and seat covers and headliners myself, but my experience is limited to my personal cars. OR would I be better off to send it off with $500 bucks and have the pros do it.........any opinions, please.........thanks

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Get a good used dash offered previously.

The originals are made in with hot vinyl and a vacuum chamber. Not as easy as it looks.
