I wonder if they had this up and running after the transplant. Evidently the seller thinks it's a 425. I would like to see how it's put in there. Bob H. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/3382410771.html
Well, that 455 has a ton of dirt in the cylinders now, and won't be worth running until it gets torn down and rebuilt. Rest of the car looks pretty bad, bordering on awful. Asking more than $2k for a rolling chassis is a stretch, this thing won't even roll. Looking like it is, he'd be lucky to get $3k less than what he's asking.
Car has A engine. Yeah A Engine. Translation there is a motor sitting in it. No prayer that it will run but it has A engine in it. No mention of a trans by the way. Body does not have rust? Hmm hard to believe on that one. Looks like that car was painted forever ago. Interior and windows need complete replacement? Price REDUCED to 3900.00?? What was it before? Step away from watching Barrett Jackson auctions. Good luck on that sale. Shame to see an early Rivi treated like that. Sell it to a local kid for 500 that will give it love.
No doubt. I was just curious as to what they did to mount the 455 in there. I'm thinking they must have to use a Riviera pan. I posted an inquiry a while back about installing a 455 style Buick engine in the 1st generation Riv but there was no response except for Yardley wondering the same thing. If this car was local to me I would probably give the guy $1200.00 to $1500.00 for it. Bob H.
