Has anyone ever ran their car across a set of scales? What did it weigh, what option's? With or without driver.
full or empty fuel tank? i assume the rest of the fluids are nominal for firing it up and running down the street?
I don't know if it had a full tank this was just the weight stock from the factory. I would assume the factory would fill up the engine with all the fluids though. Thats about all I can tell you. Sorry.
If the weight quoted is shipping weight, then it means dry. If it is quoted as curb weight, it includes fluids.
If you're in the mood for scientific experiemnation, try this... Take 4 pieces of thin cardboard and shove them under the tires as far as they will go from the sides, front and back. Then mark where they overlap and measure them in inches. Multiply length times width to find the area, in square inches, of the tire tread on the pavement. Then check the air pressure of that tire, measured in pounds per square inch. Multiply the number of square inches times the pounds per square inch and it tells you how much weight that tire is supporting. Do this for all 4 tires. The more accurate you are with your measurements, the more accurate your weight will be. Then you can go to a truck weigh scale on the Interstate and bribe the operator to let you on the scale and see how close you were...
