Well both quarter panels on my Skylark have revealed ultra amounts of mud around the wheel wells. Actually the mud was much thicker then the metal it was appplied over :af: . Bascially I have inherited someone elses horrendous work.

What I need to know is; has anyone ever used a qtr panel from another A body (or whatever donor) and grafted it onto their car (specifically around the wheel wells not the entire panel)? Obviously I know the panels are different but with the lack of quality 65 donor panels and aftermarket support my options are dwindling. Anothe roption is to create one from scratch but man that is a lot of time and money (that really needs to go elsewhere).

Any suggestions or tips are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks....Joe

I used a 4 door panel for a patch since I only had a little rust on the back part and the rear part of the wheel well. The seam will be under the side trim.
