OK , I'm back . Sold my 65 GS last year , big mistake . Am trying to buy it back but not much luck yet . So am looking for a 65 Skylark GS , automatic , power steering , no air , and must be a low 1 or high 2 car . Bought a 65 GTO in Feb. , just finished it , very nice car but after a whole bunch of money I'm not as happy as I was with my GS . So will probably sell it , and keep looking to replace my GS . If you know of anyone looking for a 65 GTO let me know , but it is a high dollar car , and is very nice . George fxandhds94@aol.com
65 Gto Jim , Just had the car finished . Bought it in Feb. from Volo Cars in Illinois , then sent it out for detailing , new exhaust with splitters , ceramic exhaust headers , and a whole lot more . I will take some pictures tomorrow or Wed. and post them or send them to you . Here's a picture from the day it was delivered to me , notice the rear is setting to high , it's now level , I changed the springs and shocks . George
Hi George.....The GTO Nationals were in St. Louis this past weekend with not many cars for sale but many potential local buyers. Post the specifics and I'll get the word out.
Hello! Please post your Goat in the "For Sale" site here at V8Buick. I have seen several autos lately that are not Buicks that have been posted here. I don't think there are any restriction of non buick cars. Besides, we all have friends who are not buick maniacs like the members here and besides, we can spread the word. :Brow: Hope to see pictures and fact sheet soon. :beer Jim
george, have you or any one at this board seen the 65 white coupe at mark VII classic cars ? bruce at stage2bruce@comcast.net thanks
Gentlemen, I live out in CO so if someone is truly interested in that car, I can go look for them. It is down in Denver about 40 minutes away. I did talk to him about the car, but elected not to go see it as the price was pretty high. Mike
George, There is a nice 65 GS for sale in the cars for sale forum. You may want to check it out. Don.
65 Gs Don , Thanks , I sent him an email . I like the look of yours in that picture . Is it all factory original ? Now may need to sell this . Not sure wife is going to let me have more cars . But , we will see . George
George, Thanks we like it to. And yes the 65 is factory original, the car is flame red exterior, red interior, options include, air conditioning, 4 speed, factory tachometer, I also put a dual quad set up on the car that came off of a 65 riviera GS. The only thing I changed was the gears, the car came with 3.55 posi it has 3.08 in it now. Much better on the open road keeps the RPMs at about 2700 at 65mph. That 65 goat looks good, I like it. Is it a tripower car? Don.
Don, Is the red one for sale?? If George is passing, I would like to discuss this further. I am currently looking at the red one down in Fla, but they want to much. Mike
Mike, No, not at this time maybe in a year or two. George was asked about it in his post and I was telling about the car. :TU: Don.
Don, Thanks, always checking on good cars! They are not all that available. Keep me in mind when you do make a decision. Very nice looking car. Mike
65 Gs Gary , Got the pictures ... Thank you Most of the car looks pretty good . Now I have to figure out if I want a yellow car . I think it's only about 3 - 3 1/2 hours from me , I may just take a drive to see it , if I can decide on the yellow . Thanks again , George
Yup, that is the car I have had my eyes on. They want just to much money at this point. It does need to be "refreshed" to get it back to concours but it is all there. I just like this car. It apparently took 1st place in 1999 or 2000 at the Buick Nationals. Oh well, we will see what the auction brings. Mike
