Might need another one of these. The bulb opening was cut to accommodate wrong bulb socket. Will know wed. This week if I cannot use existing. Just curious if anyone even has one.
Great. I ordered a new bulb socket. Basically I'm hoping to hole wasn't cut too big and it still makes a good solid ground. If not, then I'll need to switch gears and get another housing. Thanks Wheelz
Dear Ian, Wheelz, and V-8 Buick fans of 1965 Buicks, You might want to have a look at this thread on 65GS.com: http://65gs.com/board/index.php?topic=1090.msg5989#msg5989 It explains how to rebuild your parking lights. I followed the procedure and got great results. For the first time in 20 years, I could really install the bulbs and have them seat with a satisfying "click"! Cheers, Edouard
Edouard, that's fantastic! Why didn't you show me that 12 years ago when I was stupid enough to cut this one up?!? Hoping my S27 socket will fit well enough in there and then I can use an appropriate (conductive?) sealant to keep it there.
Ian, if you don't find one, I think I have a couple of them if I can remember where I put them. I will try to send the pictures. Haven't done the picture thing on this new program yet. Here are the pictures now I have to find the parts. PM me know if you are still interested. Thank you, les
I will give Ian a few days to get back with me. If he don't give me a few days to locate them. My son and I were putting things in boxes and I am not sure which box they are in. Thank you, Les
