:af: :af: Oh, I have a story on this car. I called the owner of the car /body shop that it was @ on Sunday morning. I spoke to Rich I said that I would buy the car without looking @ it. He said ok. I said that I was going to be in the area on Monday which is now today in between 3-5 pm. He said I will see you then. Then an e-mail came to me from "Brian" another family member that was actually returning my actual e-mail that I sent through craigslist regardingt the car. I explained that I already spoke to Rich and that I was going to be there tomorrow because I wanted the car. He said that there was only one other e-mail that he received regarding the car and did not contact that person yet. I said that I will be there in between 3-5 pm tomorrow. I then get a call this morning @ 8:30 am regarding the car was already sold and that the grandson sold the car yesterday and he was sorry for that. The grandson's name is Brian. Go figure!! I asked Rich if maybe he was talking about me and asked if he could ask his grandson if it was I that he thought he sold it to. He said that when he returns he will ask him. He then would call me back. I said that it may be just some confusion. I did not receive a call back I called due to I was about an hour away and wanted to see if it was just confusion. So five hours after the call this morning I called Rich back. He said no that it was sold to somone else and I get the Oh I'm sorry I did not know. I guess the owner of the car is ok with making a deal then use the excuse the grandson sold the car. This makes no sense. This was my crap seal of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sick of dealing with idiots and liars.
I hear ya on the strange selling tactics!! for 3 weeks now I've been trying to get an appointment to check out a 76 442 parts car for $750.00. This guy has had every reason you could think of to change the appt. I don't want to give up there's possibly parts I can use on my 73's. But I am getting frustrated with all the B.S. He has gone as far as call me on my cell while on my way to meet him, cancel...I should start giving a little back!
