Hi, so I have a 65 special with a 310 wildcat, would greatly appreciate some info on what i can do to supe it up. Would like to put some turbos on it (after I put timing gears on in place of chain) as well as dual exhaust and whatever else I can do to the 300 with keeping the numbers matching (or as close as I can) as it sits now, 96k miles daily driver, numbers matching all stock. Any and all info would be awesome! Thanks guys.

Here's what I did with my numbers matching `65 300 engine/trans/rearend. Pulled it out and put it in storage and replaced it with something with more power potential. At least I have the option of putting the car back to numbers matching original, an option I wouldn't have if I modified it and blew it up. And although I seriously doubt I'll ever want to put the car back to original, it's nice to know I could, or perhaps the next owner might want to when I die. But honestly, I don't see our `65 Skylarks ever being valuable enough to make much of a difference.

I too was thinking about this..simply because, the way the scenario is, my grandpa has a 2door lark and my uncle has a sport wagon all are 65, my grandpas is stock, my uncles is rat rodded, and I kimda wanted to do my own thing with mine, like my own flare to it..
