65 Spinner

I have ONE spinner for a 65 Skylark hub cap I want to get rid of. I don't think it has ever been on a hubcap. Anyone want it for $10.00 plus maybe a couple bucks for shipping? The spinner is in great shape, with a minor mark at about 6 o'clock on the spinner. I can get you better photos of it if you like. Let me know if anyone wants it. John, can the rivits be drilled out and a GS bird disc be installed ?

 

I've drilled the rivits out before, then drilled small holes for small screws to re-install. Speaking of which, I'd be interested in just the emblem if someone else wants the spinner....

I might, but I thought someone else might want it for the chrome. If I buy the whole thing, then I'm going to just toss that piece.

 

Yeah, you could drill out the rivits if you like. I did it on a set of spinners I had for a 65 years ago.

Yep, they're supposed to be red but many have faded over the years.

 

Not sure Ponch, I bought it years ago at a swap meet and it was gold then. Weren't some of the early centers for those spinners gold?? Mitch could probably answer that, it could have been in the sun too.
I know one thing, judging by the back of this piece, I would bet it has never been on the road.
