:Do No: Any suggestions for repairing a torn rubber fuel tank filler neck "sleeve" that surounds the filler neck? I'm referring to the big rubber part as a "sleeve" because no one seems to know the correct name for it. And, believe it or not, the part was standard issue on all '65 Wildcats and LeSabres. However, it isn't referred to anywhere in the original '65 Buick Chassis and Service Manuals or the Buick CD from Detroit Iron. So if you know what the name of this mysterious part is, how to repair gashes in it, how to soften the rubber a bit, or even where I can get a replacement in decent condition, please advise ASAP. My car is being restored, but the rear trim molding can't be attached to the rear body panel until the "sleeve" is installed. Richard at toll-free 866.740.7347 or truefriend@cox.net

Check your 65's better guys, its there. look at the fuel filler when you open it. the rubber lip is visible, and this sleeve is all thats between the filler neck and the inside of the trunk. :beer inside the trunk is behind and under the latch area.
