Can anybody identify this noise, watch on the video, it only 21 seconds long, in the lat 3 seconds you will hear something like a belt slipping squeal. Its not a fan belt noise, its not an intake noise and it happens at higher RPM. any idea? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CGedaKltwBPyTwpeDD63jgVfINYOwmTk/view?usp=sharing
Had a similar noise in my 67 and it ended being the drive shaft. The center universal joint near the carrier bearing had gone dry and needed grease (eventually had to be rebuilt). Im not sure if the 65 driveshaft is similar to the 67 , but thought I would share. Does it make the noise when sitting still ?
Hi pal, yes it does, it ticks over sweet and then when you rev it that squeaky squeal noise starts until the rpm goes down again, it does it pretty much all the time when driving. Its not the fan or the belts, as it does it with them all off, its not the carb as ive had that off, and back on, Engines never been out and neither has the trans, could it be flex plate noise? its a stinker to find it :-(
Could it be a vacuume noise? Sometimes air flow getting restricted at a high velocity will make a squealing noise.
